About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Toowoomba Poultry team. You will be responsible for all Plant, Equipment and Facilities ensuring Animal Welfare, WH&S, Quality Systems, Environmental and Legal requirements are met, whilst still delivering optimum reliability and compliance with effective use of assets and human resources.
Duties will include:
With a Safety and Quality orientated culture and focus, you will:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve overall efficiency
- Parts interpreting and ordering
- Oversight of projects and installations
The ideal applicant should possess:
- Certified Maintenance Fitter and/or Certified Electrician with relevant qualifications
- Proven experience in an Industrial or manufacturing setting
- Repair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP & GMP are not compromised
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude coupled with a great work ethic
- Effective communication skills in speaking with cross functional teams
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards the job
- Willingness to work varying shifts as required.
- Manage after hours call outs
